Start by visiting our templates folder to find the right template for your event category, pleaser refer to the Funding Type page. Make sure to have a Polkadot MULTI-SIG address ready with a set identity and a processed transaction.

Submit your proposal

Disclaimer: From 2025, the RFPs in the “Master Conference Calendar” will take priority, and every event with a larger funding request will have a lower chance of being passed. This is to help improve the global events strategy of Polkadot, maintain quality and enhance speaker coordination, as well as business development efforts.

Once you have your template ready head over to our Submission Form to provide the necessary details about your event. Make sure to fill out all required fields accurately to avoid any delays in processing your application.

  • Acknowledgement: You will receive a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your proposal, then you will be requested to submit a PDF version.

Review Process

Initial Review by Curators
Our curators will review the proposal to evaluate its alignment with the Events Bounty's guidelines.

Feedback and Refinement
Proposals that are not immediately rejected will receive feedback from the curators or what we expect to be improved to get funding. This phase allows proponents to refine their submissions for a better chance of approval.

Decision Making
The curators will decide to approve or deny the proposal based on the review.

Establishment of communication
For approved proposals, a dedicated communication channel on Telegram is established to facilitate faster and more efficient communication between the curators and the proponents.

Revise and consult
Revise and Consult

The Events Bounty curators are here to support you through every stage of event execution:

Speaker Selection: Need knowledgeable industry proven speakers? The curators are here to help you choose the best fit based on your event's focus and requirements.

Design (Digital & Print): Submit your designs for review to ensure they align with Polkadot's branding. You're encouraged to add your creative twist, as long as the designs stick to the guidelines.

Business Development: Looking to find the right people to attend? The curators can connect you with relevant individuals through their contacts in the industry or offer guidance on who to invite.

Advisory: The curators are here to assist with advisory on how to improve your event every step of the way.

Claim your bounty
Claim your bounty

Once your proposal is approved by the curators, you will receive funding in the form of DOT, please follow these steps within 48 hours:

1. Convert Your DOT: After claiming your bounty, convert your DOT to stablecoins or fiat to mitigate potential volatility risks

2. Return any unused slippage to the bounty in DOT

NOTE: IF YOU DO NOT CONVERT THE DOT WITHIN THE
GIVEN TIMEFRAME THE EVENTS BOUNTY WILL NOT ISSUE

Report on your event

To maintain transparency and accountability, all event organizers must submit a detailed event report within 1 month after the event has taken place. Failure to do so may result in consequences, such as a temporary ban from the Events Bounty. Every event report must be comprehensive and use the designated report template. Different templates are provided for events and meetups, so please ensure you use the correct one for your type of event. Please make sure to return any outstanding amount from the same wallet you applied with.

If the submitted report indicates a need for additional payouts, these are processed after a thorough review. The odds of these being issued is significantly low as it is the proponents duty to responsibly manage a budget.
